birdshooter  > Fall Colors > Colorado Aspens
Aspens, or "Quakies" as they are know in Colorado, are an enduring and beautiful aspect to the Colorado landscape. In the spring they sprout bright green leaves which turn darker in the summer. In September their leaves turn gold and paint the green and gray landscape in yellow, red and gold. Even after the leaves fall off and scatter on the ground the aspen is still a fantastic photo subject.
