Confrontations between birds are often observed by birders. You'll see crows driving owls, songbirds mobbing owls, mockingbirds dive bombing cats and other predators and even vultures and caracara harrassing hawks for killed prey. I've managed to catch some of this behavior in this gallery.

birdshooter > Mockingbird sneak attack from the rear.  This pass drove the Red-shouldered Hawk into the woods across the street.
birdshooter > In the next two photos you'll see some larger birds confront each other.  The perched Crested Caracara is a lone vistor amoung a group of Turkey Vultures.  The vultures don't want the visitor around and they come after him.  This occurred on Sharpe Rd on the Katy Prairie.  It's the old saying odd man out.........
