Texas is so big and has such a vast stretch of land that wildflowers are growing year round somewhere in the state. Take a drive through the Texas Hill Country or Washington County and you'll see why the Bluebonnet is the state flower. But bluebonnets are just a start. On any farm or ranch road you'll see a wide variety of wildflowers. I hope you enjoy the gallery.
Southern Iris
I found these flowers in a small pond. I was without a tripod and had to hand-hold the camera and macro lens to take this photo.
