Going back to High Island on Wed (4/22) and meeting Aubrey Cruse and Ken Coleman and back again on Sun (4/26) produced a few good photos of birds which I had photographed previously. I was able to get very close to the Prothonotary and finally got a good dark to neutral background. This little guy loved to sing and met my competition with even louder notes. The star of both days has to be the Yellow Warbler. I believe this little guy is the most colorful and striking of the warblers. Other highlights of the trip were the closeup of the Orchard Oriole and the flight shot of the Tricolored Heron. I got a kick out of watching Ken and Aubrey shoot this little Prothonotary when I called him in.
