A trip to High Island and the Houston Audubon Society's Sanctuaries; Boy Scout Woods and Smith Oaks Rookery, produced some outstanding photos of a Western tanager, Summer tanager and other migrants. The rookery was active with Roseate spoonbills, Great egrets, and shorebirds with a few alligators watching.
