birdshooter > Maroon Bells in a panorama. This is actually three different photos stitched together with software.
birdshooter > Maroon Bells, mid-September approximately 9:45am. Photo taken with a Nikon D200, 12-24mm f4 lens @ 12mm, Moose Peterson polarizing-warming filter.
birdshooter > Mountain stream which runs down into Lake Maroon Bells
birdshooter > One of many shots of Maroon Bells I took the last day there. Notice all the rocks and logs in the foreground. In most cases you want some foreground but I thought it took away from the majesty of the scene. I found another spot without all the debris.
birdshooter > Lake Maroon Bells is like a mirror reflecting the shoreline.
birdshooter > Dawn at Maroon Bells
I visited Maroon Bells three days and took many exposures with three different cameras; Nikon D200 with a 12-24 f/4 lens, Leica Digilux 3 with a 14-50mm lens, and a Canon Powershot G9. The use of a tripod is essential for sharp pictures especially using an f22 aperature. Each performed excellently.
