Anahuac NWR, April 24, 2019: The Migration
On a Friday afternoon trip to the Refuge with Loyd and David Holland, we found many migrating birds passing through Anahuac. We were treated to a pair of Common Nighthawks hunting dragonflies over a large field south of the Visitor Center. There were many song birds in the Wood Lot visiting the drip. Like my friend Norman Welsh says some birds eat seeds other eat bugs, but they all drink and like a bath.
