Crested Caracara Along Boat Ramp Road
These carrion eaters are permanent residents of Anahuac NWR. They are also camera shy. This one took off as soon as I stopped the truck for a photo.

Clapper Rail with Wasp
We rolled up on this King Rail hunting along the bank along the Boat Ramp Road that leads to East Bay. He picked up a mud wasp out of that hole and then ate it.
