Bosque del Apache NWR is winter home to 15,000 Sandhill cranes and it seems that they all like to roost in shallow water and together. This was yesterday, Tuesday, from the Flight Deck about 10 minutes before sunrise. Some of the birds have already left and you can see one taking off. Their next stop are the grains fields planted around the Refuge as food plots for them. What is missing is the noise from the magnificent birds.
Thanks for the comments, I'll catch this weekend at home.
