Gaudi's La Pedrera
I would have loved to have lived in the buillding designed by Gaudi. It is called La Pedrera, one of Gaudi's main residential buildings in Barcelona. It is one of the most imaginative houses in the history of architecture. It is more sculpture than building. The facade is a varied and harmonious mass of undulating stone. (See the next photo) As you enter the building you can walk to the center and look up and see the sky. Everything about the building is very "Gaudi." We are returning to Barcelona next year and I'm looking forward to seeing this and other Gaudi architecture.
