The Black-billed Magpie is seen through out the west often in small groups. This photographed was taken at a rest stop just east of South Fork, Colorado.
A stop at a Highway Rest Stop on US Hwy 1 near Big Sur, California, a Yellow-billed Magpie was perched in a low branched tree. This was a rare find for me on this day of birding.
This Scrub Jay was photographed in the Davis Mountains State Park.
The Gray Jay is also known as "Camp Robber bird". It is a western jay that seeks out campsites for handouts. This one landed so close I had to back up to photograph him.
