At twilight, a five second exposure captures the modern 21st century tram stopping in front of the 18th century Place de la Bourse. It's moments like this that I pack and lug my travel angel carbon fiber tripod.
The Miroir d'eau in Bordeaux is the world's largest reflecting pool, covering 3,450 square metres. Located on the quay of the Garonne River in front of the Place de la Bourse, The fountain was built in 2006. It was designed by landscape artist Michel Corajoud. Wikipedia The one unforgettable places in Bordeaux was this fountain. It's not anything that you have ever seen. It goes through different phases every 10 minutes. What you see in this photo is the misting phase, water is sprayed into the air and on the slate surface. It looks like fog. You see kids and adults walking through the mist. The next phase is draining the slate rectangles of water revealing a mirror surface that reflects the 1700's era building and clouds. More tomorrow....
