A Magellanic penguin of Magdelana Island, Chile
Magdalenic Island is the home to Chile's largest penguin colonies. The island was declared a national monument in 1982. It is reached by private ferry from Punta Arenas after a two hour voyage across the Beagle Channel.
A few of the 300,000 penguins on the island dot the landscape. The light house is unmanned and part of it was burned in a recent fire.
Me and the sign
"Home is where the hole is."
"I'm not smiling for your camera."
"Where's my camera, these tourists are so cute."
"Wow, look at all the tourists."
